faq

Question: How much do hearing aids cost?
Answer:

Hearing aids generally fall into three categories:
Basic technology about $650 each
Mid-level Technology about $1250 each
Highest Level Technology about $2350 each

Question: How do I know which is the best hearing aid choice for me?
Answer: There is no perfect answer to this question. The first step is to get an accurate evaluation of your hearing and discuss your hearing difficulties and needs with the audiologist. Then recommendations can be made for the best solution for you. No two people experience hearing loss the same way. No two people experience hearing aid use the same way. It's important to understand that your experience will be unique and that a positive attitude goes a long way to improve success with hearing aids.
Question: What if that best solution does not work out for me?
Answer: Luckily, everyone gets a 45 day time period to evaluate the hearing aids in real life situations. This is called the "trial period". You will be seen for several check-up appointments at no additional cost during the trial time. If you decide that you are not satisfied with your first choice you can try something different. During the trial period, if you decide you are not ready to use amplification you can return the hearing aids for a refund of what you paid minus a $50 fitting fee plus any additional cost you might have spent for custom made earmolds.
Question: Does insurance pay for hearing devices?
Answer: In most cases, no. It is always best to contact your health insurance company directly and ask them about coverage under your particular policy. There are a few policies that offer partial reimbursement for hearing devices. Some Medicaid policies can be billed for basic hearing aid technology.

I really would not try to change what works.  You have good people who give a damn about their clients and I believe do all they can to provide explanations, advice and expertise.
